Kathryn Kluz was born on August 23, 1994. She trains at Oakland Gymnastics in Michigan. She will graduate in 2012.
In 2006, Kathryn competed level eight. She won beam and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third all-around. Kathryn moved up to level nine in 2007. She finished second on vault and bars at the State Championships. At Regionals, Kathryn qualified for Easterns where she ended her season with a top ten finish on bars. In 2008, Kathryn began competing level ten. She placed second on bars at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished second on vault at the US Airborne Invitational. At the Motown Madness meet, she finished first all-around. She won vault and placed fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, Kathryn placed first on beam. She ended her season at JO Nationals by placing seventh all-around.
She continued competing level ten in 2009. She finished fourth all-around at the Twistars Invitational. She won the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. At the Wolverine Classic, she won vault, floor and the all-around. Kathryn placed first on vault and second on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed second on vault. In 2010, Kathryn won vault and the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular and San Diego Classic. At the IGI Chicago Style, she won vault. She won vault and floor at the Circle of Stars meet. At the State Championships, she won vault and the all-around. Kathryn placed second on vault at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she placed second on vault, eighth on bars and seventh all-around.
In 2011, Kathryn finished first on vault and floor at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She won vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the Circle of Stars meet. Kathryn placed first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Athlete Warrior Challenge. At the Presidential Classic, she won vault, bars and the all-around. Kathryn also won vault, bars and the all-around at the All American Invitational. She competed at the Nastia Liukin Cup. At the State Championships, she placed first on vault, beam and the all-around.
