Kamerin Moore was born on September 14, 1995 to Kristin and Brad. She has one older sister, Alix, and two brothers, Jacob and Joshua. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

Kamerin started gymnastics when she was only eighteen months old in a mom and tot class at Oakland Gymnastics. She moved to Twistars when she was six years old in August of 2001 after competing level 4 for one season at Oakland Gymnastics. Kamerin had been moved up to the level 5 team there and was taking private lessons for the summer in addition to her regular team practice schedule to catch up with the other level 5’s at Oakland. Then Kamerin's parents heard about what a great program Twistars had and went to check it out. Now, Kamerin currently is training at Geddert’s Twistars in Dimondale, Michigan, under John and Kathryn Geddert.

In 2003, Kamerin competed as a level five. She won a silver medal in the all-around at the Michigan Judges Cup. In 2004, Kamerin swept the gold medals at the Level 5 State Championships. In late 2004, she finished first all-around at the State Championships as a level six. Kamerin won the vault title as well. She moved up to level eight in 2005. She finished fourth on floor exercise at the Level 8 Regionals. Kamerin made the TOPs National Team. She moved up to level nine in 2006. She won the all-around, beam and floor titles at the Level 9 States. At Level 9 Regionals, Kamerin finished third in the all-around and first on vault. She finished her level 9 season at the Level 9 Easterns where she placed fifth on vault and fourth on balance beam.

Kamerin moved up to level 10 in 2007. She placed first on the balance beam at the Level 10 State's. She then qualified to Junior Olympic Nationals where she became the Junior A Vault Champion. After the Junior Olympic Nationals, Kamerin qualified to the highest level in the gymnastics, international elite. She placed second in the all-around at the Elite National Qualifier. Kamerin then competed at the US Classic where she placed fifth in the all-around and qualified to her first Junior VISA Championships. She also earned two bronze medals on balance beam and floor exercise at the US Classic. At the VISA Championships, Kamerin missed making the US National Team by one spot after placing 13th in the all-around and seventh on balance beam. In October, Kamerin went on the Region 5 All Star Team Trip to Japan!

Kamerin began her 2008 season at a few open invitationals, such as Caribbean Pirate Adventure and Battle of Championship. At the Cereal City Classic, Kami swept the gold medals! In late May, Kamerin travelved to the US Classic. She did extremely well, placing 2nd in the all-around, 4th on vault and beam and 3rd on floor. With that lovely performance, she successfully qualified to her second Junior National Championships. On the first day of competition, Kamerin was 6th in the all-around. Her best performances came on vault and balance beam, where she placed 5th and tied for 4th respectively. Two days later, Kamerin improved her all-around score from day one and finished 7th in the all-around out of 28 gymnasts. She also finished 3rd on balance beam and tied for 4th on vault! By placing in the top 12, she made the Junior US National Team!

Kami's outstanding performance earned her, her very first international assignment! Kami traveled with fellow teammate Jordyn Wieber to the Top Gym competition. Kami was quite nervous for her first international competition, and she unfortunately made a few mistakes. But, her overall difficulty and clean moves earned her a bronze AA and beam medal and silver vault medal. She won the all-around at the USA v. Japan meet in Chicago in February of 2009. At the Gymnix International, she finished third all-around. She won a bronze medal in event finals. Kamerin missed the rest of 2009 season due to injuries. She had two different injuries, one on her shoulder (July 2009) and one on her hip (January 2010). Both injures were not caused by gymnastics. She was born with some bones that were not shaped correctly and as Kamerin started to grow, they caused her to have pain when she trained.

Kamerin finally returned to competing after nearly two years in February 2011. She won the uneven bars title at the WOGA Classic in Texas. At the Level 10 Michigan State Championships, she placed second in the all-around and first on uneven bars and floor exercise. Kamerin placed seventh in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the Level 10 Regionals. There, she qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Long Beach, California where she finished 22nd overall as well as fourth on floor exercise.
