Kelsey Kopec was born on June 18, 1994. She trained at Northwind Gymnastics through the 2006 season. She then moved to Ultimate Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2012.
In 2005, Kelsey competed level eight. She won beam and the all-around at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She moved up to level nine in 2006. She finished third on floor at the State Championships. In 2007, Kelsey won bars at the Hard Rock Invitational. She finished fifth all-around at Regionals. She finished 18th all-around at Easterns. Kelsey moved up to level ten in 2008. She won all five gold medals at the National Gymnastics Challenge. She placed third on bars and fifth all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals. In 2009, Kelsey finished first on bars at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She placed third all-around at the Tiger Paw Invitational. She won bars at the National Gymnastics Challenge. She finished first on bars at the State Championships. She placed second on bars at Regionals. Kelsey competed at JO Nationals.
Kelsey continued competing level ten in 2010. She finished first on floor at the Flip Fest Invitational. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Smokey Mountain Vacation Classic. At the Spring Break-Out, she placed third all-around. Kelsey finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on bars. In 2011, Kelsey finished third all-around at the Flip Fest Invitational. She won beam and floor at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. At the Rock-n-Roll Classic, she finished first on bars and floor. She finished first on floor at the Atlanta Centennial Classic. She finished first on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won floor. She finished sixth all-around at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
