Kirstin Stambaugh was born on March 31, 1995. She trains at Prestige Gymnastics in Pennsylvania. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2007, Kirstin competed level nine. She placed fourth all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She finished in the top ten at the Buckeye Classic. At Regionals, she placed second on beam and 13th all-around. She ended her season at Easterns. Kirstin continued competing level nine in 2008. She won beam at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. At the Buckeye Classic, she won bars and the all-around. Kirstin placed third on bars, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. At Easterns, she placed 12th all-around.

Kirstin moved up to level ten in 2009. She finished second on beam at the Parkette Invitational. She won beam at the Buckeye Classic. At the San Diego Classic, she won beam and placed third all-around. Kirstin finished second on beam and fourth on vault at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on beam and ninth all-around. She ended her season at the JO National Invitational Tournament, winning vault and beam. She continued competing level ten in 2010. She finished second on beam at the IGI Chicago Style. She placed second all-around at the Buckeye Classic. Kirstin finished seventh all-around at the State Championships and tenth all-around at the Regional Championships. She finished 11th all-around at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
