Jade Kvach was born on February 9, 1985. She is the daughter of Michael and Kristine Kvach. She was coached by K.J. Kindler and Lou Ball at Cardinal Gymnastics Academy during her club career. She made the National TOPs Team in 1995, 1996 and 1997. She was named Iowa Gymnast of the year in 1996.
In 1999, Jade competed as a level ten. She finished ninth all-around at JO Nationals. She won Regionals in 2000. At JO Nationals, she won beam. Jade finished sixth all-around. She tested elite in 2001. In 2002, she won the Regional all-around, bars and floor titles. At JO Nationals, she finished fourth on floor. Her senior year was in 2003. She finished first on beam, bars and in the all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, Jade placed second on bars and ninth all-around.
At Iowa State, she redshirted her freshman year with a UCL tear in her elbow. It required reconstructive surgery. As a sophomore, she competed on vault, bars and beam. She won bars against Iowa. As an all-arounder, she finished third against Missouri. As a junior, Jade competed as an all-arounder at the Big 12 Championships and Regionals. She took sixth all-around at Regionals. She also competed all-around at Super Six. During her senior season, she competed on balance beam. She finished second at the Cancun Classic and against Denver/Iowa.
