Kylah Smith was born on December 16, 1997. She trains at Trevino's Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In the fall of 2007, Kylah competed level five. She finished fourth on bars at the North State Championships. Kylah competed level six in 2008. She finished first all-around at the North State Championships. She won the all-around title at the State Championships. Kylah competed level seven in 2010. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the Texas Prime meet. She finished first all-around at the State Qualifier. At the WOGA Classic, she won floor. She won bars at the Houston National Invitational. At the State Championships, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around.

Kylah competed level eight in 2011. She won all five gold medals at the Metroplex Challenge and the WOGA Classic. Kylah finished first all-around at the Houston National Invitational. She won the all-around title at the State Championships with a 39. She also won beam. At Regionals, she placed second on vault and floor. She finished fifth all-around.
