Taline Lahcanski was born on November 10, 1992. She trained at Penev's Gymnastics through the 2005 season. She spent the 2007 season with Bright Raven Gymnastics. Taline then moved to Rochester Gymnastics Academy. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2001, 2002 and 2003, Taline was a member of the National TOPs Team. Taline competed level eight in 2003. She won bars and floor at Regionals. She finished fourth all-around. Taline moved up to level nine in 2004. She placed third on beam at Regionals. In 2005, Taline began competing level ten. She won vault and finished second all-around at Regionals. She finished 27th all-around at JO Nationals. She did not compete in 2006. In 2007, Taline finished ninth all-around at Regionals. She won beam at the 2008 IGI Chicago Style. At Regionals, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. Taline placed 16th all-around at JO Nationals.

Taline won beam at the Leatherstock Invitational in 2009. She also finished first on beam, floor and the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. Taline won bars, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won all five gold medals. She placed seventh on beam at JO Nationals. Taline won floor at the 2010 Sand Dollar Invitational. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the I Love NY Cup. Taline finished first on floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, for the second year in a row, she won all five gold medals. She competed at JO Nationals.
