Lizzy Leduc was born on March 2, 1997. Her older sister, Crystal, was also a gymnast. Crystal competed level eight in 2009, winning every meet except for one. Lizzy trained at Mihaiuc Gymnastics. She switched to WGA Texans in 2006. Following the 2009 US National Championships, Lizzy began training at WOGA. She moved to Zenith Elite in September 2011.

She started level one gym in September 2004, and worked her way onto the team at Mihaiuc Gymnastics Academy, skipping level 4. In 2005, Lizzy competed as a level five. She won the all-around gold medals at the Katy Elite Meet, Reflex Meet, Judges Cup and District Championships. At the South Texas State Championships she finished second all-around. She skipped level 6 and went to level 7 in January 2006. She won the Level 7 Beam title at state and was the silver medalist AA.

She moved up to level eight in 2007. She finished third all-around at the Space City Qualifier. She won beam at the WOGA Classic. At Regionals, she finished second all-around and first on floor. Lizzy moved up to level nine in 2008. She placed second all-around at a State Qualifier. At States, Lizzy won bars and finished third all-around. She placed third all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, Lizzy again took third all-around. She won beam and finished second all-around. She later qualified for HOPES and won the National Elite Qualifier in the HOPES division at Texas Dreams and the Bronze at the U.S. Challenge with the highest compulsory score. Lizzy made the National TOPs Team in the fall.

Lizzy struggled at the beginning of 2009 because of a wrist fracture. Despite this, she won the Stars Qualifier. At the Texas Prime Meet, she finished fourth all-around. Because of a broken foot, she missed most of her level ten season. However she recovered in time to win beam at the State Championships. She continued to improve to finish fourth all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she won beam and the all-around! She earned a spot on the JO National Team and was also given the "Pride of Texas" Award based on this achievement. She was the only gymnast to receive this honor in 2009. A few weeks later, she earned her pre-elite score at the Texas Dreams Regional Qualifier. She qualified to junior international elite at the Parkette National Qualifier. At the US Classic, she qualified for the US National Championships. Lizzy did well, placing on beam.

In 2010, Lizzy finished third on beam and floor at the WOGA Classic. She won beam and the all-around at the Houston National Invitational. She finished in the top fifteen at the Cover Girl Classic. She placed fourth on beam. She finished 20th all-around at the Visa Championships. Lizzy missed the 2011 elite season due to an injury.
