Dalila Lemezan was born on July 31, 1991. Her younger sister, Selma, is also a gymnast. Dalila trained at LaFleur's Largo during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2009.

In 2005, Dalila competed level nine. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Gatlinburg Classic. She won beam at the State Championships. In 2006, Dalila finished first on floor at the State Championships. She placed in the top ten on floor at Easterns. Dalila won vault, beam and floor at the 2007 Gasparilla Classic. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on vault, beam and the all-around. Dalila finished fourth on vault and second on floor at Easterns.

Dalila won vault, floor and the all-around at the 2008 Level 9 State Championships. At Reigonals, she won vault, beam, and the all-around. Dalila won vault and finished second on floor at Easterns. She placed eighth all-around. She moved up to level ten in 2009. She won vault at the Hiltonhead Invitational. She placed second on beam and third on vault at the Daytona Beach Open. At the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational, she placed second on vault and third on floor. Dalila placed third on beam at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.

As a freshman at Florida, Dalila was a member of the vault lineup at every meet. She scored a season high of 9.900. Academically, she was named to the SEC Freshman Honor Roll and was an NACGC/W Academic All-American. In 2011, Dalia competed on vault nine times. She was a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
