Lillian Hayes was born on December 20, 1996. She trained at Wisconsin Gymnastics Academy through the 2008 season. She then moved to LaFleur's Academy of Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2006, Lillian competed level five in the spring. She placed third all-around at the Salto Invitational. She competed level six in the fall. In 2007, Lillian competed level seven. She finished eleventh all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished in the top twenty at the State Championships. In 2009, Lillian won the all-around title at the Harley Davidson meet. She placed first all-around at the Daytona Beach Open. At the State Championships, she finished sixth all-around. She finished third on floor and fifth all-around at Regionals.
Lillian began competing level nine in 2010. She finished third all-around and first on vault at the Midwest Challenge. She placed third on vault at the Circle of Stars meet. She finished in the top fifteen at both the State and Regional Championships. In 2011, she placed third on vault at the Circle of Stars meet. SHe finished third all-around at the Harley Davidson meet. She placed fifth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on bars. She competed at Westerns.
