Mary Licon was born on April 2, 1994. She trains at Prestige Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2003, she competed as a level four. She placed third on beam and fourth on bars at the Buckeye Classic. She moved up to level five in 2004. She finished second on bars, floor and the all-around at the Buckeye Classic. She competed level seven in 2005. Mary won the all-around at the Hard Rock Invitational. She placed first on bars at the Buckeye Classic. In 2007, she won beam at the Sand Dollar Invitational as a level nine. She qualified for Easterns where she placed 19th all-around.

She won beam at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational in 2008 as a level nine. At the Buckeye Classic, she won beam, floor and the all-around. Mary won beam and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed second on bars and fourth all-around. She ended her season with a seventh place finish at Easterns. She won bronze medals on beam and floor. She began competing level ten in 2009. She placed first on beam at the Parkette Invitational. She finished second on floor at the San Diego Classic. At the State Championships, she placed fourth on bars, floor and the all-around. She ended her season at Regionals, placing third on beam and fifteenth all-around. In 2010, she finished fourth all-around at the Buckeye Classic. She placed in the top ten at State and Regionals. At JO Nationals, she placed 12th on beam.

At her first 2010-2011 competition, the Black-Eyed Susan Invitational, Mary placed third AA.
