Lauren Johnson was born on September 9, 1994. She has trained at Gwinnett Gymnastics for most of her competitive career. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2005, Lauren competed level seven. She won floor and placed second all-around at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She competed level eight in 2006. She finished first on bars and third all-around at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She placed second on vault and floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. In 2007, competing for Gymnastix, Lauren finished in the top ten at Regionals. She finished 25th all-around at Easterns.

After missing two seasons, Lauren competed level ten in 2010. She finished third on vault, bars, and beam at the Mardi Gras meet. She finished third on vault at the Spring Break-Out. At the State Championships, she placed second on vault. She finished twelfth all-around at Regionals. In 2011, Lauren won bars at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She competed on two events at the Pikes Peak Cup.
