Lauren Li was born on November 22, 1995. She trained at Metroplex Gymnastics until the fall of 2010. She then moved to WOGA. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2005, Lauren competed level seven. She finished in the top ten at the WOGA Classic. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title. Lauren moved up to level eight in 2006. She won vault at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. At Regionals, she won vault. She placed sixth all-around. In 2007, Lauren competed level nine. She won vault at the WOGA Classic and California Classic. At the State Championships, she won vault and beam. Lauren placed first on vault at Regionals. At Westerns, she won vault and finished tenth all-around.

Lauren began competing level ten in 2008. She competed at the Metroplex Challenge and WOGA Classic. In 2009, Lauren won vault at the Texas Prime Meet. She finished fourth all-around at the WOGA Classic. Lauren won vault and beam at the Alamo Classic. She won bars and beam at the Rose City Classic. At the State Championships, she finished second all-around. She placed 12th at Regionals. In 2010, Lauren finished tenth at the State Championships. She placed sixth all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished sixth on vault, third on floor and tenth all-around.
