Kimberly Ann Loew was born in Seaford, New York on June 29, 1987. She is the daughter of Judy and Mitch. She started gymnastics at the age of four. Kim trained at Parkettes Gymnastics during her level ten and elite career.

In 2001, she competed as a level ten. At the Maryland CLassic, Kim finished seventh all-around. She competed at the Parkette Invitational. At the Magical Classic, she won floor! Kim finished third all-around at Regionals. This qualified her for the JO National Championships. She finished in the top ten on floor. Kim went for elite in 2002. She competed at the Parkette Invitational. Shortly after, she recieved her compulsory score. At the Dragon Invitational, she finished second all-around. Kim competed at the National Podium Meet. She then recieved her junior international elite optional score. Kim competed at the American Classic! A few weeks later, she sufferred a neck injury. This kept her out for a whole year.

She returned to level ten in 2004. Her first meet back was the WOGA Classic. She finished sixth all-around. Kim fared well at the Sand Dollar Invitational and Parkette Invitational. She also did well at the Desert Devils Classic. At the State Championships, she finished fifth all-around. Kim ended her season at Regionals.

She began school at the University of Maryland in the fall of 2005. During her freshman campign in 2006, she competed on bars, beam and floor at almost every meet. AN injured hamstring early in the season caused her to miss two meets. She earned EAGL All-Academic honors and was named Rooke of the Year for her team. Kim struggled with a wrist injury her sophomore year. She had two surgeries. She missed the entire regular season because of it. Kim was given one more opportunity to compete on beam at the EAGL Championships. She retired after this meet.
