Sarah Lokos was born on December 21, 1994. She has one sister, Becca, who was also a gymnast, and four brothers. Sarah trained at Style Gymnastics before moving to Hill's Gymnastics following the 2008 season.
In 2003, Sarah competed level eight. She qualified for the State Championships. She continued competing level eight in 2004. She finished sixth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed seventeenth all-around. She won the floor title! Sarah moved up to level nine in 2005. She finished sixth all-around at the San Diego Classic. At Regionals, she placed eighth all-around. She ended her season at Level 9 Easterns.
Sarah's first year as a level ten was in 2006. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Snowflake Festival. Sarah qualified to both States and Regionals. She continued to improve in 2007, finishing second all-around at the Scarlet Cup. She won beam and floor. At the State Championships, she finished fourth on vault and beam. She placed sixth all-around. At Regionals, she qualified for JO Nationals. Sarah ended her season with a 23rd place finish at JO Nationals.
She continued to compete level ten in 2008. She won beam and placed third all-around at the Hanover Classic. At the East Coast Classic, she won bars, floor and the all-around. She finished third all-around at the Frederick Classic. At the State Championships, Sarah won floor! She finished second in the all-around and on balance beam. At Regionals, she finished fourth on beam. She qualified for her second JO National Championships. Sarah also competed junior pre-elite in 2008. She finished seventh overall at the US Challenge.
Sarah had a great 2008-2009 season with her new gym. She started the season off in December at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. She won beam and finished second on floor. At the Maryland Classic in January, she placed second in the all-around and first on balance beam. She finished fourth all-around at the Parkette Invitational in the premier session. She continued to win beam and floor at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational while placing second all-around. She won a bronze medal on beam at the Byers Invitational. Sarah had a great State Championships, winning the all-around, vault, beam and floor titles! She earned a spot on the State Team. At Regionals, she finished third all-around. She won floor. She ended her season at JO Nationals. She placed eleventh all-around!
In 2010, Sarah finished first on beam and floor at the Maryland Classic. She won the all-around title at the Parkette Invitational. Sarah placed second all-around at the AOGC Invitational. SHe finished 14th all-around at the Nastia Liukin Cup. At the State Championships, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around titles. At Regionals, Sarah won bars, beam and the all-around. She placed fifth all-around at JO Nationals! In addition, she placed ninth on bars, fourth on beam and tenth on floor.
