Sabrina Leigh Long was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on November 28, 1986. She is the daughter of Deanna Nappo and Jesse Long. She has two brothers, Shane and Damien. She trained at Krafft Academy of Gymnastics in Tulsa, Oklahoma during her club career. She is now a sophomore at the University of Nebraska.

In 1998, she qualified to the JO National Championships. In 2000, Sabrina qualified to junior international elite. She competed at the US Classic and the American Classic. In 2001, she re-qualified to elite. She placed high enough at the US Classic to qualify to the National Championships. Sabrina moved up to the senior international elite level in 2002. She competed at the American Classic. In 2003, she moved down to level ten. She won the Oklahoma State All-Around title and won Regionals. At the JO National Championships she finished tenth all-around and first on vault! Sabrina continued competing as a level ten in 2004. She made her second consecutive JO National Championships. In 2005, Sabrina finished sixth all-around at JO Nationals.

During her first season at Nebraska, she competed as a three-event specialist. She competed on vault, beam and floor. She helped the team qualify to the NCAA Championships. She redshirted the 2007 season because of a torn labrum. In 2008, Sabrina made her season debut in March on vault and beam. She struggled with two shoulder surgeries in eighteen months. She retired after the season.
