Kassandra Lopez was born on May 25, 1993. She trained at Tumbleweeds through the 2007 season. She then trained at Gymnastics World East. She returned to Tumbleweeds after the 2010 State Championships. Kassandra will graduate from high school in 2011.

In 2003, Kassandra competed level five. She won vault, floor and the all-around at both the PGA Invitational and State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2004. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Shamrock Invitational. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Cactus Cup. At the Spring State Championships, she finished first on beam, floor and the all-around. In the fall, Kassandra won five gold medals at the Halloween meet and Rock-n-Roll Classic. At the PGA Invitational, she won vault, floor and the all-around. At the State Championships, she placed first on bars, floor and the all-around.

Kassandra immediately moved into level seven competition in 2005. She won all five gold medals at her first meet, the Hard Rock Invitational. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the California Classic. Kassandra won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Winter Classic. She placed first on vault, floor and the all-around at the Shamrock Invitational. She ended her season winning all five gold medals at the State Championships. She began competing level eight in 2006. She won five gold medals at the Winter Sun Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. Kassandra finished first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the California Classic. At the State Championships, she won vault, bars, floor and the all-around. She finished first on vault, floor and the all-around at Regionals.

In 2007, Kassandra competed level nine. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She finished second all-around at the California Classic, breaking her string of 18 all-around victories. At the Tucson Invitational, she won five gold medals. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Kassandra placed third at Regionals. At Westerns, she won the all-around title! Kassandra did not compete in 2008.

She began competing level ten in 2009. She finished second all-around at the Winter Sun Invitational. She won floor at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. Kassandra placed first on floor at the AOGC Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Kim Bird Invitational. At the Jessica Kleya Memorial Invitational, she won vault, bars, floor and the all-around. Kassandra placed first on vault, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third. Kassandra finished 18th all-around at JO Nationals.

Kassandra had a strong 2010 season. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won bars and floor at the Classic Rock Invitational. At the Kim Bird Invitational, she won all five gold medals. Kassandra placed second all-around at the Nastia Liukin Cup! At the State Championships, she finished first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around. Kassandra won floor and the all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished fourth all-around! She also placed tenth on vault, eighth on beam and second on floor. In 2011, Kassandra finished first on bars, beam, floor and the all-around at both the National Judges Cup and Arizona Grand Invitational. She won bars at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. At the Classic Rock Invitational, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She placed sixth all-around at the Nastia Liukin Cup. She finished second all-around at the Jessica Kleya Invite. At the State Championships, Kassandra won all five gold medals. At Regionals, she finished first on bars and beam. She placed second all-around.
