Sarah Lorish was born on May 17, 1993. She trained at Berks Gymnastics Academy during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2011.

In 2004, Sarah competed level five. She placed third all-around and first on beam at the State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2005. She finished third on vault at the Dutch Classic. She placed fifth on vault at the State Championships. Sarah competed as a prep optional in 2006. She won bars and the all-around at the Stars & Stripes meet. At the Dutch Classic, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. Sarah began competing level eight in 2007. She finished third on beam at the Dutch Classic. She finished sixth all-around at the State Championships. In 2008, she finished first on bars and second all-around at the State Championships. She finished seventh all-around at Regionals.

Sarah began competing level nine in 2009. She won bars at the San Diego Classic. She competed on one event at the State Championships. In 2010, she won the all-around title at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. She placed second on vault at Easterns. In 2011, Sarah finished fourth all-around at the Vegas Cup. She placed fifth all-around at both the State and Regionals Championships. At Easterns, she finished 12th all-around.
