Emily Lowry was born in March 1998. She trains at Kurt Thomas Gymnastics in Frisco, Texas. She will graduate from high school in 2016.

In 2007, Emily competed level five. She finished sixth all-around at the North State Championships. Emily moved up to level six in 2008. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Pretty in Pink meet. At the North State Championships, she finished in the top fifteen all-around. Emily finished first on floor and second all-around at the State Championships. In 2009, Emily finished second all-around at the Allen Classic. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the Pretty in Pink meet. At the Texas Judges Cup, she finished first on bars, beam, floor and the all-around. Emily won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the District Championships. At the North State Championships, she placed first on bars and floor. She finished second all-around. Emily won beam at the State Championships. She finished second all-around with a 38.200.

Emily immediately began competing level seven in 2010. She finished first on bars, floor and the all-around at the State Qualifier. She finished third all-around at the Texas Prime meet. At the Nadia Comaneci Invitational, she won beam, floor and the all-around. Emily finished first on bars, beam and floor at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. She won the all-around title at the Houston National Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed second on bars and third all-around. In 2011, Emily won vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the Anna Brashear Invitational with a 38.750. She won vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the Zenith Spring Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed first on bars and the all-around.
