Marie Siobhan Luce was born in San Jose, California on January 1, 1986. She grew up in Reno, Nevada as the daughter of Michael and Celeste Luce. She trained at Flips USA under Neil Resnick.

Siobhan qualified to the JO National Championships in 2001 and 2002. She finished fourth all-around at the Nevada State Championships in 2004. In 2005, she competed in the all-around with UC Berkeley. She was an honorable mention pac-10 All-Academic selection as a sophomore. Siobhan continued competing in the all-around throughout the sophomore season. As a junior, she qualified to compete in the all-around at the NCAA Regionals. She competed in the all-around throughout the season. As a senior in 2008, Siobhan continued competing in the all-around.
