Jessy MacArthur was born on October 21, 1994. She trained with SCV Aerials before the gym ownership was changed to Waller's GymJam Academy.
In 2004, Jessy competed level six. She continued competing level six in 2005. She finished first on vault and bars at the LA Classic. She won bars at the 1st Prelim. Jessy won vault, bars and the all-around at the 2nd Prelim. She finished first on floor at the North Sectional meet. She placed third all-around at the State Championships. She immediately began competing level seven in 2005. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the Flips USA Invitational. Jessy finished eleventh all-around at the State Championships.
Jessy continued competing level seven in 2007. She finished second all-around at the Spirals Invitational. She won bars at the Hard Rock Invitational. She won all five gold medals at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished first on beam at both the San Diego Classic and IGI Chicago Style. Jessy won vault, bars and the all-around at the California Classic. She finished first on vault and fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on vault, third on bars and fourth all-around.
In 2009, Jessy competed level nine. She won vault at the California Classic. She finished second on vault and in the all-around at the State Championships. She won bars. At Regionals, she won vault. She placed fifth all-around. Jessy placed first on vault, fourth on beam and sixth on floor at Westerns. She finished seventh all-around. Jessy moved up to level ten in 2010. She won bars and the all-around at the Classic Rock Invitational. She placed second on bars at the State Championships. Jessy had a strong performance at Regionals. She competed at the JO National Invitational Tournament. She qualified to Regionals in 2011. Her season was limited due to an elbow injury.
