Kori Macdonald was born on July 8, 1992. She trained at World Class Gymnastics in New York during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2006, Kori competed level eight. She won vault and beam at Regionals. She finished seventh all-around. She moved up to level nine in 2007. She placed third on bars at Regionals. She finished in the top ten all-around. In 2008, Kori competed level ten. She placed eighth all-around at Regionals. She won bars at the 2009 Leatherstocking Invitational. At the State Championships, she won bars. She finished third all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals. Kori placed fifth all-around at Regionals in 2010. She finished 23rd all-around at JO Nationals.
