Michelle Adams was born on April 6, 1993. She began gymnastics at the age of four at Gym Kids. She moved to Oshkosh at the age of six. She graduated from high school in 2011.

In 2005, Michelle competed level eight. She won bars at the Vegas Vacation meet. She finished in the top twenty all-around at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2007. She won vault at Regionals. She competed at Westerns. Michelle began competing level ten in 2008. She finished first on vault at the Harley Davidson meet. At the Midwest Challenge, she placed second on vault and bars. She placed third all-around at Regionals. In 2009, Michelle finished first on vault and second all-around at the Harley Davidson meet. She placed second on vault and third all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished first on bars and third all-around. Michelle finished 26th all-around at JO Nationals.

Michelle continued competing level ten in 2010. She finished second on bars at the Winter Luau meet and Sand Dollar Invitational. In 2011, Michelle placed second on bars at the Midwest Open. She won vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the Scamps Invitational. At the State Championships, she won vault, bars and the all-around. Michelle finished seventh all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she placed eighth on vault. She finished 25th all-around.
