Lauren Marinez was born on September 10, 1996. She trains at Orlando Metro Gymnastics.

In 2006, Lauren competed level seven. She finished fourth on bars and third on beam at the IGI Chicago Style. She placed second on bars, third on beam and first all-around at the Pikes Peak Cup. She competed at the Level 7 State Championships. In 2007, she moved up to level eight. Lauren won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style.

In 2008, Lauren moved up to level nine. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the City of Lights Invitational. At the IGI Chicago Style, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at States. At Regionals, Lauren won bars, beam and the all-around. She placed second on floor. She ended her season at Easterns. She finished second on bars and third on floor. She won beam. Overall, she was second all-around!

She moved up to level ten in 2009. She placed second on bars at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She won beam and the all-around. She won bars at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At States, she won bars and placed fifth all-around. She finished second in the all-around and on floor at Regionals. She qualified to JO Nationals but did not compete. Shortly after, Lauren qualified to junior international elite. She competed at the US Classic. In 2010, Lauren won bars, beam and the all-around at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She won beam at the Daytona Beach Open. At the IGI Chicago Style, Lauren won bars, beam and the all-around. She competed at the Visa Championships. In 2011, Lauren finished first on bars, beam and the all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won beam and the all-around at the Gasparilla Classic. She competed at the Nastia Liukin Cup.
