Gigi Marino was born on August 14, 1995. She trained at American Elite Gymnastics until 2006. She then spent one year at Carter's Gymnastics before returning to American Elite for the 2008 season. Gigi has been training at Desert Devils since the fall of 2008. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2004, Gigi competed level four. She won bars at the Rock-n-Roll Classic. At the State Championships, she won bars and floor. She placed second all-around. Less then two months later, Gigi competed level seven at the California Classic. She finished third all-around. She then competed level six for the next two meets. In 2006, Gigi competed a full season of level seven. She finished third all-around at the California Classic. At the State Championships, Gigi placed second all-around. She moved up to level eight in 2007. She finished first on vault and bars at the State Championships. She placed second all-around. Gigi ended her season at Regionals, finishing first on bars and fourth all-around.

Gigi competed level ten in 2008. She placed fourth at the California Classic. At State, she finished third all-around. Gigi placed fifteenth at Regionals. She competed in one meet in 2009. In 2010, Gigi won vault, floor and the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She placed second all-around at both the Classic Rock Invitational and Malibu Coast Challenge. At the State Championships, she won vault, floor and the all-around. She placed first on floor at Regionals. Gigi ended her season at JO Nationals with a top ten performance on vault.
