Marcy Miller was born on August 18, 1989. She trained at New Hope Academy of Gymnastics. She graduated from high school in 2007.
In 2000, Marcy competed level six. She finished sixth all-around at the State Championships. Marcy immediately began competing level seven in 2001. She finished second on bars at the Sweetheart Invitational. She competed level eight in 2003. She won bars at the Shamrock Invite. At Regionals, she placed second on vault and beam. She finished third all-around. Marcy moved up to level nine in 2004. She placed first on beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She won vault and the all-around at Regionals. She placed ninth all-around at Westerns. She also placed second on vault and sixth on beam. Marcy continued competing level nine in 2005.
Marcy moved up to level ten in 2006. She finished third on vault at the LA Classic. She placed second on vault at the Go For It Classic. Marcy also finished second on vault at the California Classic. At the State Championships, she placed second on vault. Marcy finished second on vault and sixth all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.
As a freshman at Davis in 2008, Marcy earned All-MPSF honors on vault. She competed on vault twelve times throughout the season. Marcy also competed on bars twice, beam eight times and floor once. In 2009, she earned All-MPSF honors on vault for the second year in a row. She also earned MPSF All-Academic honors and NACGC/W Scholastic All-American honors. In 2010, Marcy earned All-MPSF honors on vault, bars and beam. She also began competing in the all-around, posting all-around scores three times. Marcy earned MPSF All-Academic honors and NACGC/W All-Academic honors. During her senior season, Marcy qualified to NCAA Regionals as an individual in the all-around.
