Danielle Martinez was born on October 6, 1988. She has one brother, Nicholas, and one sister, Ashlyn. She trains at SCATS Diamond Elite.
In 1999, Danielle competed as a level five. She finished first on bars, floor and in the all-around at Sectionals. She was also second on beam. At States, she won bars. In 2003, she competed as a level eight. She finished third all-around at Regionals. She won the uneven bars title. Danielle also finished third all-around. In 2004, she competed as a level nine. She finished first all-around at the Hall of Fame meet. Unfortunately, Danielle was hampered by an injury for most of the season. She continued competing as a level nine in 2005. She won the all-around title at States. At Regionals, she qualified to Westerns. Danielle placed tenth all-around and third on bars!
She moved up to level ten in 2006. She finished third all-around at the Hilton Invitational. She only competed uneven bars at States. At Regionals, she finished first on floor!
As a freshman at Cornell, she had a strong year. She competed on beam. She has the third highest beam score in school history.
