Mackenzie Bennion was born on June 13, 1994. She trained at Las Vegas Flyers through the 2006 season. She then moved to Brown's Las Vegas. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2004, Mackenzie competed level five. She won vault and bars at the Vegas Vacation. In 2005, she competed level six. She finished third all-around at the Friendship Challenge. She placed second on vault and bars at the Gold Medal Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed third on bars and fifth all-around. She competed level seven in 2006. Mackenzie finished in the top ten at the Vegas Vacation meet. At the State Championships, she placed third on bars.

Mackenzie moved up to level eight in 2007. She finished second all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She placed third all-around at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. At the Ah! meet, she won bars. Mackenzie finished tenth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on vault and bars. She competed level nine in 2008. She finished second on vault at both the Battle in Seattle and Hard Rock Invitational. At the State Championships, she won vault. She placed fourth all-around. Mackenzie finished in the top ten at Regionals. At Westerns, she placed sixth on vault and tenth on bars.

She continued competing level nine in 2009. She finished second on bars at the Long Beach Open. mackenzie won vault and finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault. Mackenzie began competing level ten in 2010. She finished second on vault at the Wine Country Classic. She did not compete in the all-around at the State Championships.
