Margaret Brown was born on April 13, 1995. She trained at International Gymnastics through 2004. She then spent one year with New River Gymnastics before moving to Shooting Stars. Margaret trained with Team Olympia from the fall of 2008 to 2010. She then moved to Southeastern Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2003, Margaret competed level five. She finished fourth on vault at the Survivor Invitational. She won bars at the 2004 Turkey Tumble. She placed in the top ten at the State Championships. Margaret competed level six in 2005. She won bars at the Travel to the Tropics Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed fourth all-around. She competed level seven in 2007. She finished second all-around at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She won bars at the State Championships. She placed second all-around.

Margaret began competing level eight in 2008. She won bars at both the Buckeye Classic and National Gymnastics Challenge. She placed first on bars at the State Championships. She won bars at Regionals. In 2009, Margaret finished first on bars and the all-around at the Tiger Paw Invitational. She won bars and the all-around at the Judges Cup. Margaret finished first on vault, bars and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won bars, beam and the all-around. She competed level nine in 2010. She finished second on bars at the Judges Cup and Tiger Paw Invitational. Margaret finished eighth all-around at Regionals. She moved up to level ten in 2011. Margaret placed third all-around at the Sweetheart meet. She finished third on bars at the State Championships.
