Brianna McCant was born on January 1, 1998. She trained at Byers Sacramento before moving to Texas in 2006. She began training at WOGA until the spring of 2008. She then moved to Zenith Elite Gymnastics for one season before moving to Plano Unlimited, which became Golden Grip Gymnastics in 2010. In the summer of 2011, Brianna moved to Metroplex.

In 2005, Brianna competed level four. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Judges Cup. At the River City Classic, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She placed first on vault, beam and floor at the Hollywood Invitational. She won bars and the all-around at the Zone Championships. In 2006, Brianna competed level five. She finished third on vault and bars at the Judges Cup meet. She placed fourth on floor and fifth on vault at the District Championships. She finished tenth all-around at the North State Championships. Brianna moved up to level six in the fall of 2007. She placed first on vault and the all-around at the District Championships. She finished first on bars and the all-around at the North State Championships. At the State Championships, she placed second all-around. She skipped level seven and immediately began competing level eight in 2008. She finished in the top twenty at the State Championships.

Brianna began the season as a level nine in 2009. She finished first on vault, beam and the all-around at the North State Qualifier. She then moved up to level ten. At the State Championships, she finished in the top twenty. She placed in the top fifteen at Regionals. In 2010, Brianna finished second on vault and third all-around at the WOGA Classic. She placed second all-around at the Rose City Classic. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished in the top fifteen. She placed fifth on beam at the JO National Invitational Tournament. In 2011, Brianna finished fourth all-around at the Alamo Classic. She finished fourth on vault at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
