Megan Dennis was born on September 26, 1997. She trained at Texas Dreams until 2011. She then moved to Denton Gymnastics Academy. She will graduate from high school in 2016.
In 2006, Megan made the National TOPs "B" Team. She made the National TOPs "B" Team again in 2007. In 2008, Megan competed level seven. She finished first on bars and third all-around at the Texas Prime meet. She placed second on bars at the Parkette Invitational. At the Rose City Classic, she won bars, beam and the all-around. Megan finished third on bars and fourth all-around at the North State Championships. At the State Championships, she placed fourth on bars. Megan made her third National TOPs "B" Team in 2008.
Megan competed level eight in 2009. She finished first on bars at the Texas Prime meet. She placed second all-around at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. At the Excalibur Cup, she won bars and the all-around. She finished second all-around at the National Gymnastics Challenge. At the State Championships, she finished in the top ten. Megan won bars at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2010. She won bars and placed third all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. At the Texas Prime meet, she finished second all-around. She placed second on vault and beam at the Nadia Comaneci Invitational. She finished third all-around at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. Megan finished second on bars and seventh all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. Megan placed fifth on bars at Westerns. She finished ninth all-around. She missed the 2011 season due to injury.
