Nicole Medvitz was born on April 29, 1995. She started gymnastics in 2000. She trains at ENA Paramus. Nicole made the TOPS National Diamond Team in 2003. She was a TOPs "B" Team Member in 2004 and 2005.
In May of 2003, Nicole competed as a level four. She finished fourth on bars and third on floor at States. In the all-around she placed second. She moved up to level five the next year. She finished third all-around at States. She won beam and set a new state record. A few months later, Nicole competed at the Capital Cup. She finished third all-around.
Nicole competed as a level seven in the fall of 2004 to January 2005. She won the Level 7 Sectional, Pumpkin Cup, Rutgers Classic and Christmas on the Chesapeake. She won beam at every meet. At States, she won bars, beam, floor, and the all-around title! She began competing as a level eight in 2005. She finished second all-around at the Winterfest and third all-around at the Cactus Cool. At States, she won the all-around title. She also won beam.
She moved up to level nine for the 2006 season. Nicole placed second all-around at the Christmas on the Chesapeake and AOGC Invitational. She finished fourth all-around at the WOGA Classic and Parkette Invitational. Nicole won beam at several meets. At States, she finished fourth all-around and first on beam. She won beam at Regionals. She finished sixth all-around. At Easterns, Nicole placed second on beam.
Her second season as a level nine was in 2007. She won the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. She finished third all-around at the Brestyan Invitational, Hilton Head Invitational and Excalibur Cup. She won the Gasparilla Classic. Nicole won beam at each of these meets. At States, she won the all-around, bars and beam titles. She qualified to her season Eastern Championships. Nicole also competed as a hopes elite. She competed at the US Challenge and American Challenge. She won a silver medal on beam at the US Challenge. Nicole missed her 2008 season because of an ankle injury. She came back in 2009. She won bars and beam at several meets. At Regionals, she won beam and qualified for the JO National Championships.
The 2009-2010 season started at Christmas on the Chesapeake. There Nicole placed fifth on beam and tenth on bars and in the all-around. She then competed at Hills Classic and finished fourth place AA and qualified for bars and beam finals. In finals she finished first on bars and fifth on beam. Her team then competed at Parkette Invitational in the Open session. Nicole placed fifth on bars, second on beam and 5th AA. At the IGI Chicago Style meet Nicole again finished first on bars and second in the all around. Level 10 States were held at Rutgers University in March. Nicole finished 1st on bars with a 9.55, first on beam with a 9.575 and second AA with a 37.475. She qualified for the Region 7 Championship in Chesapeake, Virginia. Nicole had another good meet finishing first on bars with a 9.425, third on beam and second AA. This qualified her to her 2nd JO National Championships.
Nicole finished first on bars at the 2011 Maryland Classic. She won beam and the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Classic Rock Invitational, she won bars. She placed second all-around. Nicole won bars, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She placed first on beam, third on bars and second all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she performed a new skill on beam, an illusion to scale, which is now called the Medvitz. She won the balance beam title! Nicole was also named to the Region 7 All-Star Team and the 2010-2011 NJ Optional Gymnast of the Year.
