Julianna Meely was born on April 26, 1996. She trained at Legend Gymnastics in Alabama before moving to Arizona. She has trained at Desert Lights since 2007. Julianna will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2006, Julianna competed level four. She won bars and floor at the National Judges Cup. She finished second all-around. In the fall, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Vulcan Challenge. At the State Championships, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. In the fall of 2007, Julianna began competing level six. SHe won the all-around at the Halloween meet. At the Arizona State Championships, she finished second on beam and floor. She placed fourth all-around.

Julianna immediately moved into level seven competition in 2008. she placed fifth all-around at the Winter Sun Invitational and Fiesta Bowl Invitational. At the State Championships, she won beam and finished fourth on bars. She competed level eight in 2009. She finished fourth all-around at the Kim Bird Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed second on vault, bars, beam and in the all-around. She ended her season at Regionals, placing third on beam and fourth on floor.

In 2010, Julianna competed level nine. She finished sixth at the Winter Sun Invitational and San Diego Classic. She placed third all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, Julianna also placed third. She ended her season at Westerns. Julianna planned to compete level ten in 2011 before suffering a season-ending knee injury in November of 2010. Julianna is currently recovering from ACL surgery and plans to return to competition in 2012.
