Lucy Meyer was born on August 29, 1992. She trained at Gleason's Gymnastics until 2005. She then spent one year at Flips Gymnastics. In 2007, Lucy moved to Twin City Twisters. She graduated from high school in 2010.
In 2004, Lucy competed level nine. She finished 15th all-around at Regionals. She continued competing level nine in 2005. She won beam at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won beam and placed second all-around. Lucy finished tenth all-around at Westerns. She placed fifth on vault. She moved up to level ten in 2006. She finished first on beam and second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won the all-around title! Lucy placed eighth all-around at JO Nationals. Later that spring, while at an elite training camp, she injured her sacroiliac joint which kept her out for a year.
Lucy returned slowed in 2008. At the State Championships, she competed on vault, bars and beam. She returned to the all-around at Regionals, placing first on vault and fourth all-around. She competed at JO Nationals. In 2009, Lucy won vault at the IGI Chicago Style. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the Rising Stars Invitational. At Regionals, she won vault. She finished eighth all-around and sixth on vault at JO Nationals. In the summer, Lucy competed at the Maccabbai Games. She did not compete in 2010.
