Annette Miele was born on June 18, 1993. She trained at Lehigh Valley Gymnastics with Natalia Yurchenko. At the age of eight, she was a member of the National Gold TOP Team in 2001. She made the National TOP Team in 2002 and 2003. She was a member of the B Team in 2004. She followed Yurchenko to Parkettes in the spring of 2008.
In 2004, she competed as a level eight. She won the Friendship Classic. She finished third all-around at Sectionals. In 2005, she moved up to level nine. Annette finished second all-around at the State Championships! At Regionals, she finished in the top ten. This qualified her for the Eastern Championships. Annette finished second on beam and ninth all-around at Easterns! She also competed at the American Challenge as a TOPs Elite in 2005. She moved up to level ten in 2006. Annette competed at States and Regionals. In the summer, she qualified to junior international elite! She competed at the US Classic. Annette requalified to junior international elite in 2007. She competed at the US Classic again.
In 2008, she continued competing as a junior international elite. Annette qualified for her first US National Championships at the May Elite Qualifier. She finished in the top ten at the US Classic. She placed third on vault. At the US National Championships, she placed tenth all-around, making the National Team! She finished third on vault. Annette competed senior international elite in 2009. She competed at her second US National Championships in August. In November, she committed to the University of Michigan.
