Lexi Mills was born on December 6, 1993. She started gymnastics at the age of six years. She moved to Plano, Texas from Houston, Texas in March of 2004 to train at WOGA. Her coaches are Yevgeny Marchenko and Laurie Dix.
In 2005, Lexi competed level eight. She finished third all-around at the California Classic. At the Lady Luck Invitational, Lexi won beam, floor and the all-around title. She became the Level Eight State Beam Champion at the Level Eight State Championships. Her final meet of the season was Regionals. She finished second all-around. Lexi won beam and floor.
She moved up to level nine in 2006. At the WOGA Classic, Lexi placed third all-around. She then won the All Olympia Invitational. At the Level Nine State Championships, Lexi placed second all-around. She won beam and floor. At Regionals, she placed eighth all-around and first on beam. This was high enough to qualify for the Western Championships, the highest competition a level nine can attend. She finished third all-around! Lexi won bars.
Lexi moved up to level ten in 2007. She finished third all-around at the Rose City Classic. She also placed third all-around at the All Olympia Invitational. At the Level Ten State Championships, Lexi finished fourth all-around. She won a silver medal on beam and a bronze medal on bars. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around and third on balance beam. She qualified for JO Nationals.
She continued competing level ten in 2008. She won the all-around and vault at the WOGA Classic. At the Dragon Invitational, she won bars, floor and the all-around. Lexi won floor at the Houston National Invitational. She finished fifth all-around at States. At Regionals, she placed second on beam and seventh all-around. She qualified for her second JO National Championships. In 2009, she finished third all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. She placed fifth all-around at the WOGA Classic and fourth all-around at the Houston National Invitational. At States, Lexi scored her season high of 38.100. This earned her the gold in the all-around. She also won uneven bars. Lexi unfortunately missed making JO Nationals at Regionals.
In 2010, Lexi finished first on bars and beam at the Texas Prime Meet. She won beam at the Houston National Invitational. Lexi placed in the top ten at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished first on beam and fourth all-around. Lexi placed first on beam at JO Nationals! She also placed tenth all-around.
