Kendal Moss was born on August 15, 1998. She trains at Everest Gymnastics in North Carolina. She will graduate from high school in 2016.

In 2005, Kendal competed level four. She won bars and the all-around at the Judges Cup. At the State Championships, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. Kendal moved up to level six for the 2006 season. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Everest Challenge. At the State Championships, she won all five gold medals. Kendal competed level six the next year. She finished second all-around at the State Championships. She immediately moved up to level seven for the 2008 season. She finished first on vault and third all-around.

Kendal began competing level eight in 2009. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Judges Cup. She also won the all-around at the Hilton Head Island Invitational. Kendal finished third on floor at the Tiger Paw Invitational. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Charleston Cup. Kendal finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. In 2010, she won all five gold medals at the Flip Fest Invitational. She won vault, beam and floor at the Charleston Cup. She won floor at the Tiger Paw Invitational. Kendal finished second all-around and first on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on bars, second on floor and fifth all-around.
