Hallie Mossett was born on March 15, 1995. She trained at All Olympia Gymnastics for several years. Following the VISA Championships, Hallie left her long-time club to began training with her then old coach, Fernando Villa at West Coast Elite Gymnastics. She made the National TOPs Team in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. She also competed as a Hopes Elite in 2006. By winning the US Challenge that year, she was named to the National Elite Training Squad.
In 2003, Hallie competed as a level five. She won several meets. She swept the gold medals at Sectionals. At States, she won gold medals on every event except for vault. Hallie moved up to level six in 2004. She won the Crystal Cup and AOGC Invitational. At Sectionals, she swept the gold medals. Hallie took second all-around at States. She won vault and floor. A few weeks later, she competed as a level seven. She finished second all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. Her last level seven meet was the San Diego Classic. She won.
Hallie finished the 2005 season as a level eight. She finished third all-around at the Level 8 State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. In 2006, Hallie moved up to level nine. She finished first all-around at the WOGA Classic, Go For It Classic and AOGC Invitational. She won the state title.
In 2007, Hallie moved up to level ten. She finished second at the WOGA Classic. At the AOGC Invite, Hallie swept the entire field and earned first place on every event. At States, she won floor and at the May Elite Qualifier she won at least 3rd place in each event and won the AA title. She then went on to compete at the US Classic where she again, won floor and finished a solid 10th place in the All-around. This wonderful performance qualified her to her very first US Nationals where she placed 15th, missing out on the national team by just 3 spots. In 2008, Hallie continued on the elite path by competing in the Texas Dreams Elite Qualifier, where she placed 3rd. Hallie again qualified to US Nationals and finished 9th, earning her a spot on The US Junior National Team.
Hallie received two international assingments in 2009. The first was the USA v. Japan Friendship Meet where she finished fourth all-around. Her next meet was the Gymnix International. Hallie finished fifth all-around. She placed fourth on vault. In August, at the VISA Championships in Dallas, Texas, Hallie placed 12th in the all-around and fifth on floor exercise. In 2010, Hallie began her season at the Metroplex Challenge in Dallas, Texas, where she placed third in the all-around. She then traveled to Chicago, IL in July for the US Covergirl Classic and Hartford in August for the VISA Championships. On the first day of the VISA Championships, she placed 18th overall.
Hallie returned competing in 2011 at the San Diego Classic and placed second on vault and uneven bars. She traveled to Florida for the Disney National Elite Qualifier where she qualified to senior international elite after finishing second in the all-around as well as second on vault and uneven bars. This qualified Hallie to the Senior VISA Championships. A few weeks later, she placed fourth in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the American Classic. Hallie finished in the top ten at the US Covergirl Classic in Chicago, IL and finished eighth on floor exercise at the VISA Championships. She was named to the US National Team in the fall. She was also an alternate for the Pan American Games.
