Mariesah Pierce was born on October 9, 1991. She trained at West Valley through the 2004 season. She then moved to Airborne. Mariesah graduated from high school in 2009.

Mariesah made the National TOPs Team in 2001 and 2002. In 2002, Mariesah competed level nine. She placed second on floor and fifth all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level ten in 2003. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. In 2004, Mariesah placed in the top ten at the State Championships. She finished second on vault at the 2006 Flips USA Invitational. She finished first on vault and the all-around at the Go For It Classic. At the State Championships, she placed second on floor. Mariesah finished fourth all-around at Regionals. She finished 27th all-around at JO Nationals.

Mariesah continued competing level ten in 2007. She finished first on floor at both the Lady Luck Invitational and San Diego Classic. Mariesah finished second all-around at the Byers Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished second all-around. Mariesah won floor at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished 17th all-around. In 2008, Mariesah finished first on floor at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. She placed second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished second all-around. She placed third on floor at JO Nationals.

In 2009, Mariesah finished second on floor at the WOGA Classic and third on floor at the Long Beach Open. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Byers Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed second on floor. Mariesah finished third all-around and first on floor at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished 20th all-around.

As a freshman at Cal in 2010, Mariesah competed in all of Cal's meets. She competed in the all-around in three meets. She competed on bars, beam and floor throughout the season. In 2011, Mariesah competed on bars, beam and floor throughout the season. She competed in the all-around three times. She won floor against Alaska.
