Tiffany Murry was born to Yvonne Nelson on April 1, 1986. She began gymnastics in 1991. She competed for Orlando Metro Gymnastics.

In 1999, she competed as a level nine. She finished ninth all-around at Regionals. In 2001, she finished second all-around at Regionals as a level ten. She won floor. Tiffany also won a silver on bars. Her final competition of the season was the JO National Championships. She finished fourth all-around. She was third on vault. Tiffany continued competing as a level ten in 2002. She finished second all-around at Regionals. At the JO National Championships, she won a bronze in the all-around. She also won a bronze on floor. Tiffany swept the gold medals at the 2004 Level 10 State Championships. At Regionals, she won four gold medals. The only event she did not win was floor. At the JO National Championships, Tiffany won the vault title. She finished third all-around.

Her final year as a level ten was in 2004. She finished first on floor and second all-around at Regionals. At the JO National Championships, Tiffany won the all-around, vault and uneven bars titles! She won a bronze on floor. As a freshman at the University of Florida, she finished second on floor at the Regional Championships. Tiffany was a member of the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll. As a sophomore, she was a member of the SEC Honor Roll. Tiffany earned All-American second-team honors on floor. She won nine vault titles in the season.

Tiffany did not compete until March of her junior year because she was recovery from surgeries. She competed on bars and floor. She won floor against NC State. As a senior in 2008, she finished second in four vault competitions and third in twice. She won floor against UNC. She finished third on floor against Utah. She competed thirteen out of fourteen times on both vault and floor. She was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
