Lindsay Musgrove was born on January 18, 1992. She trained at Acrofit through the 2004 season. She spent one year at Mihaiuc Gymnastics Academy. She then trained at Gymnast Factory for two years and WGA Texans for two years. She spent her senior year at Champion. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2003, Lindsay competed level eight. She finished fifth on floor and 14th all-around at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2004. She competed at Regionals. In 2006, Lindsay competed level ten. She finished in the top twenty at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fourth on beam. In 2007, she finished first on beam and floor at the Starz and Stripes meet. At the State Championships, she finished fourth on bars. Lindsay competed at Regionals in 2008.

Lindsay continued competing level ten in 2009. She finished fourth on floor at the Texas Prime meet and Palm Beach Invitational. She finished third on beam and fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished second all-around. She competed at JO Nationals. In 2010, Lindsay placed in the top ten at the AOGC Invitational and Houston National Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished eighth. She won bars and finished second at Regionals. She ended her season at JO Nationals.
