Samantha Musto was born on September 10, 1993. She will graduate from high school in 2012. She trained at ACE Gymnastics in Florida for several years. She spent the 2007 season at Brown's Central. Samantha moved to New Jersey after the 2009 season. She began training at Atlantic Coast Gymnastics. She moved to Zappa Athletics Center in the summer of 2011. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2001, Samantha competed level six. She placed third on balance beam at the Gemini Invitational. She won beam and floor at the Hurricane Invitational. Samantha competed level eight in 2004. She finished third at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2005. She finished fourth on bars at Regionals. In 2006, she won bars and the all-around at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She finished first on vault and in the all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she finished 12th all-around.

Samantha began competing level ten in 2007. She finished third on vault and in the all-around at the Lightning City Invitational. In 2008, she won bars, beam and the all-around at the Tampa Bay Classic. She finished second on vault at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished 15th all-around at Regionals. Samantha won vault at the Daytona Beach Open and Charleston Cup in 2009. She won beam and the all-around at the Tampa Bay Turner's Invitational. At the State Championships, she won vault and finished second on beam. Samantha placed first on vault and second all-around at Regionals. She ended her season with a 12th place finish at JO Nationals.

She continued to have strong results in 2010. Samantha finished first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Parkette Invitational. She won five gold medals at the Winterbowl. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Maryland Classic. At the Gasparilla Classic, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. Samantha finished fourth on bars and eighth all-around at the Nastia Liukin Cup. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title. She won bars and the all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, Samantha finished first on beam, fourth on vault, ninth on floor and third all-around! In 2011, Samantha finished first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Parkette Invitational. She finished first on vault and third all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. At the State Championships, she placed first on bars and third all-around. She placed third all-around at Regionals. She competed on two events at JO Nationals.
