Alexis Nault was born on January 2, 1993. She trained at Off The Wall Gymnastics through the 2007 season. She then moved to Atlantic Gymnastics Training Center. Alexis graduated from high school in 2011.

In 2007, Alexis competed level seven. She finished first on vault and the all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2008. She competed at Regionals. Alexis began competing level nine in 2009. She finished third all-around at the Brestyan Invitational. She finished fourth all-around at the American Flyer's Cup. Alexis finished third all-around at Regionals. She won vault and placed second on floor. She finished tenth all-around at Easterns.

Alexis continued competing level nine in 2010. She finished third all-around and first on beam at the Brestyan's Invitational. She won the all-around title at the IGI Chicago Style. At the State Championships, she won vault, bars and floor. She finished second all-around. At Regionals, she finished eighth all-around. In December, Alexis placed third on floor at the Robin Cone Memorial Classic.
