Courteney Ng was born on January 10, 1996. She trains at Byers Gymnastics in Elk Grove. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2004, Courteney competed level four. She won the all-around at the High-Tech Invitational. At the River City Classic, she won bars, beam and the all-around. Courteney skipped a full season of level five, competing level six in 2005. She won bars and floor at the River City Classic. She also had strong performances at the Hollywood Invitational and Aloha Invitational. At the Zone Championships, Courteney finished second on floor. She did not compete in 2006, instead preparing for level eight in 2007.
Courteney finished first on floor and in the all-around at the Crystal Cup. She placed second on bars at the Golden State Classic. At the AOGC Invitational, she won bars. She did not compete the rest of the season. Courteney returned in 2008 as a level nine. She finished third all-around at the California Classic. She won vault and bars at the Golden State Classic. At the State Championships, Courteney won bars and the all-around! She placed second on floor. She finished fourth all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, Courteney finished 15th all-around and fifth on floor.
She continued competing level nine in 2009. She won floor and the all-around at the Twistars Invitational. She won bars and floor at the Lady Luck Invitational. Courteney placed first on floor and in the all-around at the Tachi Palace Invitational. She won vault at the Long Beach Open and floor at the Byers Invitational. At the State Championships, Courteney finished first on bars and floor. She placed second all-around. Her score was one of the top six out of all age divisions, earning a spot on the State Team. At Regionals, she won bars and the all-around. Courteney won bars and beam at Westerns. She placed fourth all-around.
Courteney began competing level ten in 2010. She won vault and floor at the Red Heart 10.0 Invitational. At the Maryland Classic, she won floor and placed second all-around. She qualified to junior pre-elite at the AOGC Invitational. Courteney won bars, floor and the all-around at the Golden State Classic. At the Byers Invitational, she won vault. Courteney placed third on vault and floor, her only two events at the State Championships. She missed the rest of the season because of a torn ACL.
