Kaylee Nicklos was born on June 27, 1996. She trains at Gymnastics East in Washington. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2002, Kaylee competed level four. She continued competing level four in 2003. She finished second on beam at the Mystery Classic. At the Seattle Sectional meet, she finished fifth all-around. Her final season as a level four was in the spring of 2004. She finished second on vault, bars and floor at the Mystery Classic. She won beam and the all-around. At the Desert Devils Classic, she won beam, floor and the all-around. Kaylee won bars and beam at States. She finished second on floor and in the all-around.

Kaylee moved up to level five in the fall of 2004. She finished second on beam and in the all-around at the Pumpkin Fest. She competed level six in the spring of 2005. She qualified for the State Championships. Kaylee competed level seven in 2006. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Gymnastics in Paradise Meet. At the IGI Chicago Style, she won bars, beam and the all-around. She finished third on vault and beam at the Blooms and Blossoms Invitational. At the Level 7 State Championships, she finished second on bars and fourth all-around.

She moved up to level eight in 2007. She placed fourth on floor at the Hard Rock Invitational. At the Seattle Open, she placed third on bars and second all-around. Kaylee won a bronze medal on bars at the Great West Gymfest. At the Level 8 State Championships, she finished fifth all-around. her final level eight meet was Regionals. She placed sixth all-around. In 2008, Kaylee competed level nine. She won bronze medals on floor at both the Vegas Cup and Great West Gymfest.

Kaylee continued competing level nine in 2009. She finished seventh all-around at the Gymnastics in Paradise meet and sixth all-around at the Great West Gymfest. At the Level 9 State Championships, she finished fourth all-around. Kaylee placed second on vault and sixth all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at Westerns where she placed sixteenth all-around. In 2010, she finished fourth all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational and Battle in Seattle meet. At the Return of the Titans, she finished first on bars and second all-around. Kaylee placed second on bars and fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won bars and placed second all-around. Kaylee ended her season by placing eleventh at Westerns.
