Katie Nissle was born on June 27, 1997. She trained at Chatfield Gymnastics until January of 2009. She then moved to Gymnastics Unlimited. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2005, Katie competed level six. She finished first on bars, beam and the all-around. She immediately began competing level seven in 2006. She won vault and floor at the State Championships. She competed level nine in 2007. She finished first on beam at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. In 2008, she finished in the top ten at the State Championships. She placed second on floor. In 2009, Katie finished fourth on beam and floor at the State Championships.

Katie continued competing level nine in 2010. She finished third all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She won the all-around title at the Denver Winterfest. She placed third all-around at the AGA Snowball Express. At the State Championships, she placed first on floor and the all-around. She finished second all-around at Regionals. She finished 16th all-around at Westerns. In 2011, Katie finished second all-around at the Denver Winterfest. She placed second on bars at the State Championships. She finished sixth all-around at Regionals. Katie finished 23rd all-around at Westerns.
