Alyssa Nocella was born on November 2, 1994. She trains at Silvia's Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2006, Alyssa competed level five. She won five gold medals at a Sectional meet. She competed level six in 2007. She won bars and the all-around at the Friendship Classic. Alyssa won bars at the State Championships. She competed level seven in 2008. She finished second on beam at the National Judges Cup. She finished second all-around at the Sectional meet. At the State Championships, she won beam.

Alyssa moved up to level eight in 2009. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the Maryland Classic. She won the all-around at the Silvia Mitova Invitational. At the Capital Cup, she finished first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around. She won vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, Alyssa finished first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around! She competed level nine in 2010. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Pink Invitational. Alyssa won beam and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault and bars. She ended her season at Easterns, finishing fourth on vault, first on floor and ninth all-around!
