Allison Northey was born on March 4, 1994. She trains at Gymnastics East.

In 2004, Allison competed as a level four. She finished sixth all-around at the Level 4 State Championships. She won uneven bars. She moved up to level five later that year. She won vault at the Pumpkin-Fest. In the spring of 2005, Allison competed level six. She finished second on vault and fourth all-around at the Pajama Classic. She competed at the Level 6 State Championships.

Allison began competing level eight in 2006. She won beam at the Gymnastics in Paradise meet. She finished third on vault and floor. She won floor and finished third on beam at the Blooms and Blossoms meet. At the State Championships, Allison won a bronze medal on floor. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around! She won floor and finished third on beam. Allison competed level nine in 2007. She placed third in the all-around and on balance beam at the Flips USA Invitational. At the Hard Rock Invitational, she won a silver medal on vault. At the Greatwest Gymfest, Allison finished second on vault, beam and floor. She won the all-around title. At the Blooms and Blossoms meet she won vault and the all-around title. Unfortunately, an injury kept her from finished the season.

Allison returned in 2008 by winning beam at the Seattle Open. Her first meet competing all-around was at the Greatwest Gym Fest. She won a silver medal on vault and a bronze medal on beam. At the Battle in Seattle meet, she won beam. She did not compete at States. Allison moved up to level ten in 2009. She finished fourth all-around at the Gymnastics in Paradise meet. She won beam. She finished second on vault and floor. At the Surf City Classic, Allison won silver medals on vault, bars and beam. She finished third all-around. She finished fourth all-around and third on floor at the Great West Gym Fest. At the State Championships, she finished fifth all-around. Allison won bars, beam and the all-around at Regionals. She placed second on vault. At JO Nationals, she finished fifth on beam.

In 2010, Allison finished second on vault at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the State Championships, she competed on bars and beam. Allison finished first on floor and fourth all-around at Regionals. She finished 27th all-around at JO Nationals with a 37.250. In 2011, Allison finished first on beam at the Battle in Seattle. She placed fifth all-around at the State Championships. She won vault, bars and the all-around at Regionals.
