Shonacee Oliva was born on January 5, 1995. She trains at Brandy Johnson's Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2006, Shonacee competed level eight. She finished fourth on floor at the Charleston Cup and fourth on bars at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. In 2007, she won beam at the State Championships. She placed third all-around at Regionals. She began competing level nine in 2008. She finished third on bars and fourth all-around at Regionals. She competed at Easterns.
Shonacee continued competing level nine in 2009. She won floor at the Hilton Head Island Invitational. She won bars at both the IGI Chicago Style and Presidential Classic. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Gasparilla Classic. Shonacee finished third on floor and second on vault at the State Championships. She won bars and the all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, Shonacee won vault and bars! She placed second all-around. She moved up to level ten in 2010. Shoancee won bars at the Presidential Classic. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Gasparilla Classic. She finished 17th all-around at the Nastia Liukin Cup. Shonacee placed in the top ten at the State Championships, Regional Championships and JO National Invitational Tournament.
In 2011, Shonacee began her season at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational where she placed sixth overall. At the Atlanta Crown Invitational, she won the all-around title as well as placed second on uneven bars and floor exercise. Shonacee placed second in the all-around at the Daytona Beach Open and third in the all-around at the Presidential Classic. She did well at the Northern Lights Classic where she won the all-around title. In addition, she won a gold medal on uneven bars, a silver medal on balance beam and bronze medals on vault and floor exercise. At the Level 10 State Championships, she placed fifth in the all-around and first on floor exercise. She earned a bronze medal int he all-around at the Level 10 Regionals and qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals. At the JO Nationals in Long Beach, California, she finished 14th on balance beam and 16th on floor exercise out of 57 gymnasts.
