Stina Olivere was born on November 21, 1990. She trained at American Institute of Gymnastics through the 2002 season. She then moved to Arena Gymnastics for the remainder of her club career. She graduated from high school in 2009.

In 2000, Stina competed level seven. She finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2001. She placed second on bars and fifth all-around at the State Championships. She began competing level nine in 2002. She finished sixth on bars at Regionals. She continued competing level nine in 2003. In 2004, she placed fifth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished first on bars and 15th all-around. Stina placed first on bars and 15th all-around at Easterns.

Stina began competing level ten in 2005. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. In 2006, she competed at the State Championships. She finished third on bars at the 2008 Twistars Invitational. She placed second on bars at both the Bravo Classic and Surf City Classic. She finished third all-around at the Harley Davidson meet. In 2009, she won bars at the Gasparilla Classic and Harley Davidson meet. She finished first on bars at Regionals. She placed fourth on bars and 26th all-around at JO Nationals.

As a freshman at Cal in 2010, Stina competed on bars. She competed on bars in all but two meets her sophomore year.
